Violence in relationships has been a problem for ages and there's not much that can be done about it, other than educate people. Especially considering some people still tend to think some sort of light violence might be normal. Then again, we all know it's actually not.
According to statistics, 1 in 3 teens has experienced or is currently experiencing one or another type of violence in relationships and that's not a promising statistical information. Especially when you consider that these numbers are the numbers we can pretty surely suggest. People who never report or never talk about it are not included here.
From positive perspective, NFL Players Association together with Verizon Foundation and A CALL TO MEN (LIVE-RESPECT Campaign to influence change in men's behavior through a re-education and training process that promotes healthy manhood) have pledged to help teens end violence in their relationships. Considering the education has to start as early on as possible, working with teens is definitely a good way to start with. And this specific program is here to educate teens of healthy relationships.
